📦 Important Shipping & Sizing Information

    •    Shipped Bare-Root (With Some Soil): This Rose Bonsai is shipped bare-root with some soil left intact around the root system to keep the core protected during transit. These resilient, locally grown specimens are physically adapted to easily survive shipping and will transition smoothly once nestled into your choice of potting medium.

What's Included:

    •    1x Rose Bonsai Specimen Tree (Bare-root).

    •    1x Custom Unboxing, Planting, and Acclimation Care Guide.

(Note: Soil, planter pots, and planting mediums are not included in this purchase.)

🌱 Unboxing & Planting Guide

  1. Gentle Unboxing: Carefully open your package immediately upon arrival. Gently remove any protective wrapping from the bare-root tree.

  2. Inspect & Rest: Set the bonsai in a shaded, well-ventilated indoor area for 24 hours to allow it to acclimate to your local environment after its journey.

  3.  Select Your Soil: Prepare a pot filled with a rich, moisture-retentive organic mixture. Unlike gritty desert mixes, roses need nutrients; use a blend of rich sandy loam or garden soil mixed with organic potting compost and a touch of perlite for aeration.

  4.  Planting: Gently rest the base of the bare-root tree directly on top of the dry soil mix. You can lightly press it down to keep it upright, or use a few decorative top-dressing stones to prop it securely into place until roots anchor.

💤 Acclimation Care Instructions

    •    Light: Position your plant in a location that receives bright, filtered light or soft morning sun. Avoid harsh, direct afternoon sun initially, which can easily scorch unestablished leaves.

    •    Outdoor Placement: Thrives outdoors in morning sun to partial afternoon shade. Introduce the plant to outdoor light levels gradually over several weeks to prevent foliage burn.

    •    Indoor Placement: Provide bright, indirect sunlight right by a window. If ambient room light is insufficient, position grow lights roughly 6 inches above the plant canopy for 12 to 14 hours per day.

    •    Watering (Crucial): Keep the potting medium completely dry while the plant acclimates to its new pot. Do not give it regular, deep waterings at this stage, as it cannot absorb bulk moisture without an active root system. You may lightly mist or add a few drops of water around the base once every 2–3 weeks purely to stimulate future root development. Regular deep watering should only resume once the tree anchors its roots.

    •    Airflow: Ensure the plant is kept in an area with excellent air circulation to keep the core structure healthy and disease-free.

📖 Complete Long-Term Care Reference

  • Light: Rose trees thrive best in high-light, bright environments.

  • Outdoor: Full sun to partial shade. Introduce to outdoor conditions gradually to avoid leaf scorch.

  • Indoor: Bright, direct window light. If ambient light is low, use grow lights set 6 inches above the plant for 12–14 hours daily.

  • Temperature: Requires an outdoor winter dormancy period to thrive long-term. Protect the roots from severe freezing conditions, but allow the plant to drop its leaves and rest naturally over the winter.

  • Watering (CRITICAL Temperature Alert): Roses are thirsty plants that require evenly moist soil. However, NEVER water or pour water onto hot, sun-baked soil. Doing so creates a thermal shock that can instantly boil delicate feeder roots or crack the root system. Always water in the cool morning or late evening hours.

  •  Summer: Water thoroughly and daily if kept outdoors in high heat, checking frequently to keep soil from going bone-dry.

  • Winter: Reduce watering significantly during dormancy, keeping the soil only slightly damp.

  • Fertilizer: Apply a balanced, diluted organic fertilizer regularly during the active spring blooming season. Completely avoid fertilizing during peak summer or winter dormancy.

  • Soil: High-nutrient, rich soil mix combined with organic matter and compost that balances solid water retention with healthy air drainage.

  •  Pruning: Pruning back hard in late winter or early spring encourages compact growth pads and stimulates healthy new flowering shoots.

  • Toxicity: Non-toxic to humans, dogs, and cats.
